How to choose between 9, 10, and 12 notes
All our handpans use the same D Kurd scale, so the character of the sound remains consistent across the range. The main difference is how much musical range you want and how each layout feels under your hands.
The number of notes is not a question of quality. It simply changes the amount of space you have to explore melodies, rhythms, and compositions. Choose the layout that best matches the way you want to play.
Every model is available in 440 Hz, the standard tuning reference commonly used with other instruments and backing tracks, or 432 Hz, which is slightly lower in pitch.
Whichever note count or tuning you choose, you have 30 days at home to make sure the instrument feels right for you, and every Sonant handpan is covered by a 2-year warranty.
