How to choose between 9, 10, and 12 notes

All our handpans share the same scale, D Kurd, so the difference is range, not character. The 9 note model has the widest spacing between tone fields and is the easiest to play cleanly. The 10 note model adds a C5 at the top of the circle, giving you room to finish a phrase. The 12 note model completes the upper octave up to D5, for composing and layering.

440 Hz or 432 Hz

Every model comes in 440 Hz, the standard tuning reference, or 432 Hz, slightly lower in pitch. Choose 440 Hz if you want to play with other musicians or backing tracks.
